Toronto NaNo Chat: Meet global WriMos, talk about your novel ideas, engage in word wars, and more!
Toronto NaNo Forum: Our regional forum on the official NaNoWriMo site. Here we post events and exchange ideas.
As we enter week two, we’ve got plenty of writing sessions coming up. I know I need to get caught up on my novel, stat! If you’re finding, like me, that your enthusiasm for your novel starts to peter out around this point, that’s perfectly normally. The week 2 doldrums hit most nano’ers, and all we can do is push through and just keep writing. One. Word. After. Another.
As the date and time ticks merrily toward NaNo’o'clock, we’re getting ready for another fabulous writing season with some exciting programs we hope you’ll check out.
Everything you need to know about how to write like the wind, win NaNo, and have an awesome month with us is posted on our Toronto NaNoWriMo forum, including:
Events like our Kick Off party on Oct. 27 @ the Olde Spaghetti Factory!
Creative tips and ideas!
Our new ToNaNo newbie Mentorship Program!
The Word War in which we’re going to trounce Atlanta!
Two new ToNaNo Fundraising programs!
Official write-ins and self-organized meets all over the city!
We hope to see you at some of our writing sessions and other events. And if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us through this website’s contact form or by asking your questions on the forum.
As we prepare for November, you’ll see some changes and updates to this site and to our local forums and chat room. Don’t forget to set Toronto as your home location on NaNoWriMo.org so we can keep you in the loop about upcoming events, this year’s word war, and more!
Looking forward to seeing you all again (and meeting some of your for the first time) soon!
We’re gearing up for the start of Script Frenzy in just two and a half weeks (or 18 days, for the really nitpicky among you) and we hope you’ll be joining us for the ride. Script Frenzy is a bit more civilized of a challenge than NaNoWriMo – just 100 pages of script. Have you always wanted to write a movie/tv show/comic book/play? This is your chance!
Check out the details at www.scriptfrenzy.org and visit the Toronto forums to introduce yourself. Since they’re run by the same wonderful people, your NaNoWriMo login works on the SF site.
Ya, I can’t seem to not do music vids this nano. I don’ t know what’s wrong with me.
I know a parody of this was done two or so years ago and was on the nanowrimo podcast (does anyone know who did that?), but I always wanted to do one. So I got my friend Jeff to play guitar for me (because I don’t play guitar) and we did this song and vid in one evening.
